CIBC has announced their mobile banking app took top honours in The Forrester Banking Wave: Canadian Mobile Apps, Q2 2019 report.
The Forrester report examines mobile apps from Canada’s big five banks for functionality and user experience. CIBC’s mobile banking app was deemed, “being strong across the board, achieving a balance of functionality and user experience that Canadian banks often struggle to reach.”
The CIBC app was described as high value and easy use, according to Forrester, allowing the app to gain the top overall score among big five banking apps. The app gained a perfect store in the privacy and trust category. Login and security and assisted service features, such as live chat launched back in February, helped CIBC earn top marks.
“Clients want a secure, easy-to-navigate mobile banking experience that allows them to transact how and where they want, and to seamlessly interact with their financial institution, at their convenience,” said Aayaz Pira, SVP, Digital & Direct Banking, CIBC, in a statement. “Our goal is to continuously evolve the CIBC Mobile Banking App so that the client experience matches the expectations in today’s digital world.”
CIBC has previously won top marks for its mobile banking app by Forrester, including in 2018 and previous years.
