Filmic’s Free DoubleTake App Lets You Shoot from Two iPhone Cameras at the Same Time

Filmic has released its latest app in the App Store called DoubleTake, which lets supported iPhones shoot from multiple cameras at the same time.

DoubleTake requires iOS 13 and brings multi-cam capability, soon coming to Filmic Pro. The following iPhones will support multi-cam studio video:

  • iPhone 11 Pro Max
  • iPhone 11 Pro
  • iPhone 11
  • iPhone Xs
  • iPhone Xs Max
  • iPhone Xr

You’ll be able to record with multi-cams and also use picture in picture and split screens on your iPhone. You’ll also be able to set and lock focus and exposure on both cameras during multi-cam capture.

DoubleTake supports full frame focus and also 24fps, 25fps, and 30fps, along with 1080p video (limited by Apple’s API for multi-cam video). CNET got an early look at DoubleTake worth checking out.
