Microsoft Launches ‘Tossup’ for iOS to Make Plans with Friends Easier [VIDEO]

Microsoft Garage is how the company is able to “turn our wild ideas into real projects” and the latest is Tossup for iOS, available at launch for Canada and the USA.

The app is a quick way for you to poll your friends on where and when to meet, created by the Outlook team, which said in a release “Our aim is for you to spend more time hanging out with friends rather than coordinating with them. We designed it from the beginning to be a social experience and we’ve included some delightful little details you might not expect for an initial release.”

Use Tossup when you need:

• A quick yes or no count
• To find and pick a restaurant
• To agree on when to meet
• Your friend’s opinion

Tossup requires your mobile number for verification, then you can login with a new account or via Facebook. The app then asks you for permission to access your contacts.

Once you make your poll or invite, you can reach friends via their mobile number or email. Tossup will ask to send your friends a link via SMS or email so they can respond to your questions. You can set a countdown timer too, which gets friends to respond.

One of our friends tried to tap “Open Tossup to join in on the fun” but got an “address is invalid” error. Looks like your friends needs Tossup to join the party.

Getting a group of friends together can be challenging in this day and age and Tossup looks to make it easier. Let us know how this new app works out for you!
