American graphing calculator company, Texas Instruments (TI), has made two of its iPad apps free during the COVID-19 outbreak, to support students and teachers learning at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Both the TI-Nspire CX and TI-Nspire CX CAS apps are currently a free download in the App Store. Normally, these iPad graphing calculator apps are $30 CAD each but TI has made them free until April 30, 2020.

“Teachers – we hear you and are here to help. Beginning tomorrow, we will have free TI software available for all students and teachers to download online,” explained the Texas Instruments Education on Twitter back on March 17, 2020.

If you’re in high school or university and need a graphing calculator, these are definitely ones to download. There are various activities to help you master your algebra and calculus homework. Work from the apps can be emailed or linked to your Dropbox account.

“Gain greater understanding by exploring hundreds of free activities for Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Statistics, Pre-Calculus and more from the online Math Nspired resource center,” explains the app.
