Toronto’s ‘Grabb’ Allows Pre-Order and Pay for Take Out to Avoid Waiting in Line

For those in the Toronto Financial District, Grabb for iOS has officially launched today, to allow customers to pre-order and pay for take out meals from select restaurants, allowing people to avoid lines and save time as they’ll get to pick up meals from the ‘Grabb Express Line’.

Never wait in line again.

Grabb allows you to save time and skip the line by pre-ordering and pre-paying for take-out meals.

– Easily browse menus, order, and pay, in only a few touches.
– Get real time updates on the status of your order.
– Add multiple credit cards for personal and business orders.

Grabb currently works in Toronto’s Financial District. More restaurants coming soon, stay tuned.

Grabb will send users push notifications (and e-receipts) when orders are ready, along with real-time updates on the status of your order as well. Participating restaurants include the likes of Fresh Off The Boat, Buna’s Kitchen, Brioche Dorée, Hero Certified Burger, What A Bagel, Mean Bao, Buster’s Sea Cove and The Chickery to name a few.

Kabir Daswani, founder, Grabb Mobile, said he created the app as a solution to his own experience of waiting in lines day after day:

“Convenience is the one driving force that’s always been behind my idea for Grabb. When I was at Queen’s University, I used to spend 20 – 30 minutes a day waiting in line for simple drip coffee. I saw an opportunity to offer customers a more convenient and efficient way to order, and set out to develop an app to do just that,”

Grabb says its users have saved a total of 340 hours or 14 days of waiting in line by using the app. Future plans are to expand across the GTA and Canada.
