WestJet for iOS Updated with Apple Watch Support [PIC]

As expected, WestJet has updated their iOS app to support Apple Watch. The Apple Watch version of the app will enable customers to check their flight status, view boarding passes saved to Passbook and also your countdown to your next vacation, right from your wrist:

•What time is it? It’s time for Apple Watch features. We’re ready to support access to the WestJet app directly from your watch — keep track of saved flight status and details with a quick glance or keep an eye on the countdown until your next WestJet getaway.

•Boarding passes saved to Passbook will also be available on Apple Watch

•Other new features for iPad and iPhone users now include the ability to share trip details with your contacts and add your flight information to your calendar.

Here’s what the WestJet Apple Watch app will look like:

Air Canada for iOS was updated with Apple Watch support last month.

Other updates include the ability for iPhone and iPad users to share trip details with contacts and to add flight info to your calendar.

While this app looks gorgeous, users that preordered the Apple Watch will have to wait still for their smartwatch to arrive. Earlier today it was noted some preorders may ship sooner than expected, as Apple stated in an email to a concerned customer.
