Fido Offering 50% Off its Tablet Data Plan at $7.50/3GB Right Now for Select Customers

Fido tablet data plan

Fido is offering some customers a 50% discount on the company’s $15/3GB tablet data plan, according to some forum members on RFD.

RFD user ‘mrumble’ writes, “I just called to cancel my previously free data-only tablet plan (that was awesome, wasn’t it?!) and the rep automatically offered me 50% off the $15/month for the 3GB plan.”

Many subsequent Fido customers confirmed they were able to get 50% off their $15/3GB tablet plan by using Fido online chat or calling in–without even asking to cancel. Time to put your work pants on, folks.

The Fido $15/3GB tablet plan is geared towards users of cellular tablets such as Apple’s LTE iPads, but it is possible to pop the activated SIM card into an iPhone for a data-only plan. Many people use this tablet plan on an iPhone with free apps such as Fongo for texting and voice calling, resulting in a much cheaper monthly phone plan.

If you do get offered the 50% deal on the tablet plan, you do need to sign on for two-years. Let us know if you’re successful or not.

Fido is currently offering Apple’s 6th generation LTE iPad for $0 down on an Easy Pay 2-year term (you pay back $14.96 per month, or $359; save $240).
