Toronto’s High Park Cherry Blossom Festival Goes Virtual, Powered by Rogers Internet

High Park Cherry Blossoms 2 1347x900

High Park in Toronto has been closed due to COVID-19, but the annual Cherry Blossom Festival won’t be nixed because it’s gone virtual.

The City of Toronto will continue to hold the spring tradition 24 hours per day, thanks to a livestream powered by donated wireless internet from Rogers. The High Park Nature Centre will also host virtual walkthroughs of the cherry blossoms too.

Sakura trees usually bloom in late April and into early May, with a short viewing period of 4-10 days and are dependent on weather (high winds can blow the blossoms away).

You can visit the virtual cherry blossom festival at Toronto.ca/cherryblossoms.
