TELUS Launches 4G LTE in Newmarket and Aurora, Expands Further into Ottawa

TELUS has announced the launch of its 4G LTE network in Newmarket and Aurora (with more areas following in the coming months such as Niagara region, Oshawa, Whitby, Brantford and Leamington), part of the company’s $280 million investment in the GTA over the next three years:

“TELUS is committed to offering the best customer experience and launching our 4G LTE service in Newmarket and Aurora is an excellent example of how we’re doing that,” said Johnnie-Mike Irving, managing director of Business Solutions, TELUS. “With a 4G LTE device, our customers can enjoy the fastest wireless technology available in the world today – we are continuing to expand this new technology, community by community, so that by the end of the year many more Ontario residents are expected to have access. It’s an ambitious undertaking.

TELUS also noted further expansion of its 4G LTE network in the Ottawa region to Kanata, Nepean, Orleans and Cumberland as part of a $190 million investment over three years to grow the network.

It’s an ambitious undertaking.”
