TELUS Launches 4G LTE Network in Oshawa and Whitby

TELUS has announced the launch of their 4G LTE network in Oshawa and Whitby, as part of the company’s $280 million investment to further expand their wireless network in the Greater Toronto Area over the next three years.

“TELUS is committed to offering the best customer experience and launching our 4G LTE service in Oshawa and Whitby is an excellent example of how we’re doing that,” said Johnnie-Mike Irving, managing director of Business Solutions, TELUS. “With a 4G LTE device, our customers can enjoy the fastest wireless technology available in the world today – we are continuing to expand this new technology, community by community, so that by the end of the year many more Ontario residents are expected to have access. It’s an ambitious undertaking.”

TELUS says their 4G LTE network now covers 65% of the Canadian population and by the end of 2012 we can expect the network to reach other areas in Ontario such as Sudbury and Brantford.

Just last week TELUS 4G LTE went live in Leamington and the Niagara region. Let us know how those LTE speeds are!
