Koodo Mobile Boxing Day Sale: $65 Plan with 6GB Data and $120 Credit [u]

Telus-owned Koodo Mobile has joined the Boxing Day deals game, by offering 2GB extra to their $65 per month plan with 4GB data, along with $10/month credits for 12 months (which is what Rogers/Fido and Virgin are offering). In a nutshell, that works out to $55/month for 6GB for the first 12 months.

This plan is NOT listed on the Koodo website, but according to Koodo they did confirm it on Twitter. The plan is only for new activations with no Tab and applied in-store at kiosks and other dealers. It includes unlimited Canada-wide calling, unlimited SMS/MMS and the usual extras, available in all provinces–except Quebec (updated).

The offer looks to be a response to Fido’s $60 Boxing Day plan with 6GB of data, but throws in $120 in credits for the first 12 months. There’s no word on the expiry of this offer, but it most likely will end on December 27th, like Fido’s plan.

If you’re going to sign up, don’t forget to try and get a referral from a friend, so you can get another $25 in bill credits.

You can also try for the $50/4GB migration plan if you’re moving over to Fido.

Thanks. We’re you able to get it outside Ontario? At the time of posting info only was confirmed for Ontario.

Ugh just tried to activate the plan at my local Koodo store but the activation site is down! Must be a lot of people taking in on the offer.

Is the 2GB bonus data permanent? …or is there an expiry on it as there is with the $10/month credit? Fido’s plan is a straight 6GB plan, whereas Virgin’s and Koodo’s list it as 4 + 2 bonus. That’s a little more concerning.

I believe the 2GB bonus is permanent.

I called Koodo customer retention to ask them to match Fido’s plan. They said they couldn’t. Going to Fido.

because of your mindless post and misguiding instructions, we are all screwed. if you call koodo, they have nothing like that. if you call retention, they have nothing like that. i verified several times.
thank you for screwing my day.
