The Amazon.ca Rewards Mastercard has launched in Canada, a partnership between the online retail giant and TD’s credit card subsidiary, MBNA.

The new Amazon Mastercard offers eligible Prime members 2.5% back on purchases at Amazon.ca and Whole Foods Market in Canada when using the credit card, and 1% back on all other eligible purchases. For U.S. or global purchases, 2.5% back is available on purchases in foreign currency.

Non-Prime members using this new card will get 1.5% back on purchases at Amazon.ca, Whole Foods in Canada and 1% back on other purchases.

“We are really excited to launch a new credit card that rewards our customers on all their purchases at Amazon.ca, Whole Foods Market stores in Canada, and everywhere else,” said Mike Strauch, Country Manager for Amazon Canada, in a statement. “As our Amazon Canada customers would expect from us, the Amazon.ca Rewards Mastercard offers great everyday rewards and value to shoppers.”

Amazon says the new Rewards Mastercard has an introductory offer of 5% back on purchases at Amazon.ca, Whole Foods Market in Canada, restaurants and grocery stores—for up to six months or $3,000 in eligible purchases.

The card offers all cardholders an introductory offer as well, of 5% back at Amazon.ca, Whole Foods Market stores in Canada, restaurants and grocery stores for up to six months or $3,000 in eligible purchases.

The new credit card has no annual fee, no annual points caps or expiration date for points earned. Every 2,000 points accumulated is automatically redeemed into a $20 Amazon.ca gift card.

The card also offers protection benefits such as 90-day purchase assurance coverage, extended warranty and trip interruption coverage. Card management is available online or on the phone, while paperless billing is available.

Amazon says customers can apply online now for the Amazon.ca Rewards Mastercard and those approved can start using their card right away on the online retailer.
