Google Deal: Nest Doorbell and Nest Hub Combo for $189, Save $80

If you’re looking to buy a wired Nest Doorbell (first gen), you can get it along with a Nest Hub (2nd gen) for $189 total right now, saving you $80.

The deal is being offered at Home Depot online right now, as the Nest Doorbell is priced at $199.99 and Nest Hub is at $69.99. But when you buy both, you’ll get $80 in discounts applied at checkout.

“Buy a Google Nest Hub, Generation 1 or 2, and buy a Google Nest Hello Video Doorbell, Save $80.00,” explains the HomeDepot.ca website.

The wired Nest Doorbell is excellent for what it is, when you also subscribe to a Nest Aware Plus plan.

The newer 2nd-generation Nest Doorbell comes with a battery option, but does not offer 24/7 video history with Nest Aware Plus. Google previously stated in 2022 a new wired version of the Nest Doorbell (wired) will be coming, though. It also requires using the Google Home app instead of the Nest app (but unification into one app is coming soon).

This is a decent deal for the Nest Doorbell (wired) as you get a Nest Hub (2nd gen with new Sleep Sensing), which will show and announce who’s at the door automatically when the button is pressed, including announcing names of familiar faces (creepy, but so cool). You also get package detection for your deliveries and the Nest app is pretty excellent for customizing alert zones and more. Highly recommended combo.
