If you’re within the Rogers home internet footprint, the company’s retentions department is offering a deal for customers coming off contracts, or those looking to jump over to competitors.
If you call 1-866-695-9367 and speak to the retentions department (they are the company’s last line of defence to keep your business before you cancel), they are currently offering some customers a $35 per month home internet plan with up to 500 Mbps download speeds and unlimited bandwidth.
Rogers currently offers Ignite Internet 500u with unlimited bandwidth for $79.99 for six months for new customers ($127.99/month thereafter), so to get this plan at $35 per month is more than half off.
Again, most telecom retention departments will offer some sort of last-chance sweetheart deal to those threatening to move over to the competition. Your mileage may vary (YMMV), but if you have the time and patience to chat with a rep over the phone, you may end up with a decent internet plan. You never know unless you try.
Alternatively, if you’re looking for another decent internet offer, Rogers flanker brand Fido is offering 50% off home internet at $32.50 per month for a 75 Mbps plan, available until January 7, 2019.
