Canadian Apple retail stores now have ‘Reserve and Pick Up for the iPhone 4S, a service that was also offered during the holidays in 2009.
Users just select their province, Apple store location, and choose an available model.
The Pacific Centre Apple Store will start taking reservations tonight as of 9PM PDT, and other stores should also be following suit. Apple announced this morning iPhone 4S sales exceeded 4 million in just three days.
Anyone looking forward to using Reserve and Pick Up? It’ll save you time from guessing about stock and waiting in line.

This is great! It can save people from coming back from the store empty handed. But at the same time the Apple Store app would have been way better.
So its at 9PM Pacific time? 12PM for us? how do we know that for sure? it doesn’t say PDT on the site.
Actually is says available to order at 9pm and then allows you to go to pick a store but does not flip back to the ordering page. I say try after 9pm.
If they have the model I whish, this will be too bad for Rogers. I have been waiting for news from my reservation since the 7th, and am still “in process”, although I am at #36.

Is this only for unlocked phones? Or if you’re a Rogers user, can you get a phone from Apple retail and take it to Rogers to get activated?

It will be activated on the spot by Apple staff.

I’m going to try and do this, although I still have a Rogers reservation. Apple can do reservations right.
Well this is a reservation… so yes Apple can? And you can cancel your Rogers reservation at any time and get your $40 back.
Hu? Yeah I know I can cancel my reservation. But unlike Rogers, Apple with give me the next iPhone of my choosing as soon as they have one available, and not wait for my shipment to get to the store.
What about orders placed through apple before launch? I purchased my phone on the 11th and order status still says “processing items” with an estimated delivery of “October 25-November 1

The stock the stores get are separate from the online order. This reservation system is based on the store stock so it might be unavailable for sometime until the demand drops and stock starts lasting for several days
This is better than waiting 24 hours at the apple store and in the rain in Toronto.

I got it for the Ste-Catherine Store. but you got to be quick otherwise the reservations gets unavailable. I reserved for 4-5 PM. I showed up at 4:35 because work was a bit hectic. lots of people were activating at the same time so they told me I had to wait till 5 pm to activate but then an agent showed up at 4:50 and I made my activation. They were super quick and painless… that’s how I like my HUP to be made!

for canada iphone reservation link stooped working around 10 pm Oct 19. Now if you click on reservation link it takes you to ipad reservation. What rubbish is that?
Reserved mine but then tells me to bring credit card/ID/etc.

Well I tried every store in the GTA at 9pm on and not one has any stock of any capacity 4S
my brother was able to reserve one from Upper but then after a few mins later it’s “unavailable” i am just wondering is it PST or EST time zone!. 🙁

The mall is open. the Apple store has classes going on usually starting at 8 AM. For the case fo this reservation (iPhone4S), go to into the store (the doors will be closed but unlocked), check in and they will take care of you.
No 64GB models….all others were selectable.

I am thinking that it hasn’t gone live yet. Despite what some people are claiming here, the BC stores do not appear to be live as of yet too.
Typical Apple with these reservation system. It was the same last Friday too; big delay getting the reorder up and running. It’s very frustrating for people.

got my 32gb white at Pacific centre. I think they’re all gone in BC!
Started in Vancouver at 8:53. The 32gb sold out right away and all were gone at around 9:05
Hit reserve at 8:54pm, and ended up with a 16GB black – the 16GB White and 32 GB black were the only two other options a that time.
Got in right at 9PM for the Sherway Gardens. The only model available was the black 32GB, which was the exact one I wanted, so I was all over that, and got my reservation. I checked afterwards out of curiosity, and they were all gone, every model, every colour, every store in Ontario.

Just now I received an email from fido saying my order was shipped and it would take 4 business days to arrive. I clicked the supplied tracking number and found that its only a 25 minute drive away in the city next to mine. I imagine I’ll be getting a call from the store I chose today. Lol 4 Business days, although with how long I’ve already waited who knows
DO you have to pay for the Device only or with your contract with for example Rogers – service upgrade fees? ect… or do they just bill it to your Rogers account?
You can do with any carrier.
If you an existing customer it will be billed to your monthly one.
Anyone have any success reserving a 16Gb model at any of the GTA Apple stores? My pre-order has yet to even ship, so I may opt to do this.
I was able to reserve 16GB and 32GB at both black at eaton centre store tonight. I went to website at 8:55 pm and reserved for pick up tomorrow – Wednesday.
Tuesday 18 Edmonton telus store in bonnie doon mall still has lots of iPhone 4s in stock .

Only Monday night was possible though. Tuesday and Wednesday should be out of stock for all the apple stores.
