Apple Slashes iPhone 4S to $99, iPhone 4 Goes Free on Contract

As part of today’s “It’s Almost Here” iPhone 5 keynote, Apple announced the all-new iPhone 5. Whenever a new iPhone is announced, older generations usually get a price cut and that is exactly what has happened again.

• The ‘old’ iPhone 4S gets a price slash to $99 for a 16GB model.
• The even older iPhone 4 goes free on contract, an 8GB model.
• Unlocked pricing for the iPhone 4S: $599 (formerly $549 for the iPhone 4)
• Unlocked pricing for the iPhone 4: $450 (formerly $375 for the iPhone 3GS)

We’ll find out if the iPhone 3GS has been discontinued or not once the Apple Store goes back online. Earlier we learned of the unlocked iPhone 5 prices in Canada starting at $699.
