What will the iPhone 5 look like? We reported rumours of a September 9th launch date, production to start in August, and details of a cheaper, unlocked model.
But in terms of design, we haven’t seen any breathtaking concepts–until now. Check out the following iPhone 5 concept by Poland-based industrial designer, Michal Bonikowski. It incorporates the existing glass front and stainless steel band design, with a curved aluminum back taking cues from the original iPad. Sexy. Time.

nay. I don’t understand why the earpiece is so wide, just because the screen is wider doesnt mean that has to change too. also with a button for the mute switch, it’s going to be accidentally pressed in pockets all the time

hope the final product wont have a curved back and aluminum backing…that’s just my opinion
I like it more than the 4. I have the 3GS still & will skip the 4 in favor of waiting for the 5. It appears thinner & yes, sleek & sexy!
Yay!… Anything is better that the stupid glass back of the iP4. Come-on… glass? Why design a phone that practically HAS to be enveloped in a case? NEXT!
I have first hand experience in having my back glass smashed from a drop.

However, I don’t think its possible to cram all the guts of an iPhone into this design. Perhaps an iPod Touch instead
Totally agree with you. Personally I like 4’s design more than any other phone, including 3, 3Gs, and the concept. I will keep my 4 as long as I can. Besides, many people already have problem picking up the 4 from a flat surface without a case, what’s gonna happen to this thinner concept when you put it facing down without a case?

Not sure I have ever once accidentally hit the volume buttons. but i agree with a switch instead… though thats the only bloody piece on my 4 that gets dirty.

I think Apple almost assumes you will end up putting a case on your phone. If you dont have a case then you could care less about protecting your investment.

I’m sure the price would be something crazy like $49.99. But I’d still buy it–FML.
