In late December it was noted that London, Ontario was rumoured to receive an Apple Store in the upper level of Masonville Place Mall. Well, those rumours can now be laid to rest as Apple has posted job listings for the London store on its website, as seen below:
The postings were listed on January 18th, 2012, and positions include the title of being an Apple ‘Genius’:
You’re fascinated by the way things work and the reasons they sometimes don’t. You sometimes rearrange your computer setup just for fun. Other rumoured Canadian retail locations include a store on Robson Street in Downtown Vancouver.

are you kidding me come on apple Londons’ great but put a store in niagara falls a flag ship store would do amazing here.
London is a great place for a store! They’ll do so well, especially with UWO just south of Masonville mall.
UWO is minutes from the Mall, plus the affluent area surrounding!
That news is ok… but when are we going to get an Apple Store in Victoria, BC??
I agree. The capital would be a great place for a store. I can see one on Government Street somewhere.
Looking forward to this, any idea when it would open? Wish a store in Windsor was next — there were rumours for awhile but I haven’t heard anything since last winter I think. Very cool to know that this is coming, as London is a lot closer than Toronto at least! 🙂
Slowly moving west. Waterloo came last year, london this year, windsor cant be far off!
London makes sense. The University has the creative types / iTunes crowd, while the city – as the traditional home for where insurance companies and lawyers go to die – means there will be something of a wealthy business crowd to flog hardware purchases to. Blue collar workers not enjoying a great time there, but Apple has never really catered to them anyway.
I can hardly wait, Apple is the *apple * of my soul……
