Spotify Confirms its Disco Ball App Icon Will be Retired This Week

Apple’s Newsstand Subscriptions Store For iOS 5 Is Now Online
Tons of stuff is happening today and all pretty fast, thanks to the official iOS 5 launch which is happening later today. Just few minutes ago, Apple’s Newsstand store went live with a new “Store” button appearing in the top right corner of Newsstand iOS 5 app. Most of the magazine apps got updated in the last 24 hours in anticipation of this all new Newsstand store and now it is finally online and available as a dedicated catalog of all digital publications available in the App Store.
Once you download a Newsstand compatible publication, it will ask you to allow push notifications and automatic download of new issues. This background download happens when you’re device is connected to a WiFi network. All Newsstand subscriptions can be managed separately via the Store section of Settings.app. Currently, there is no direct way to access the Newsstand store via iTunes / AppStore except the “Store” button inside Newsstand iOS 5 app. So if you’ve got an iOS 5 device right now, do check it out. Its pretty awesome!

Apple, surely likes to milk things out…. Maybe they are really running last min. trouble shooting. Or simply don’t show up at work till 9 am Western, 12 pm Eastern 🙂
They are on the west coast after all. Updates usually come out around 1PM EST.

I love it…but when the hell are we Canadians going to get the Apple Store app?? I had been using the one from the USA store for a while, but now, if you are signed on with your Canadian ID, the app does not work. What ever could be the delay here?
I know right? It probably has to do with the amount of people that would use it. Though we like to think were equals to the US were actually a small fraction compared to the demand they have there

How do we browse or search for magazines, mine don’t show up when I download the apps…
I upgraded to 4.0 on my 3G and it was never the same…it slowed it down to the point where it’s pretty much unusable and I was stuck with that OS on my phone. I’m almost afraid to try OS5 on my iPHONE 4 for the same reason….thoughts?
iPhone 4 is like 10x faster than a 3G no worries update
Dual processor with the 4s compared to the 4…that going to slow it down much? I’m still really stinging after the 4.0 OS experience
Do you have an iPhone 4? If so you’ll be good. If you still have doubts if you have an iPad 2 it’s pretty much an iPhone 4S update your iPad 2 and see for yourself
