Amazon announced today at its event in Seattle new Echo devices, Ring cameras and now the new eero mesh WiFi system, coming to Canada this November for $349 for the 3-unit multi-pack.

Essentially, the eero mesh WiFi system will replace your single wireless router and instead blanket your entire home with Wi-Fi coverage. You just need one eero unit to connect to ethernet and others can get signals wirelessly (or through ethernet).

The eero 3-pack will be priced at $349 CAD in Canada, coming in early November, says Amazon. A single eero will cost $139 CAD. Each eero unit has two ethernet ports and is powered through a USB-C power port.

Amazon explains the eero 3-pack can provide coverage for homes up to 5,000 square feet or 460 square metres. Setup is “in minutes” via the eero app, while automatic updates and TrueMesh technology smartly routes traffic the fastest way for your devices automatically. The system offers dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless, while Amazon says it is “best for internet speeds up to 350 Mbps.” The eero Pro mesh WiFi system is optimized for internet speeds up to 550 Mbps.
