Amazon Launches All-New Fire HD 10 Tablets in Canada, Including Kids Editions

Amazon has announced all-new Fire HD 10 tablets in Canada on Tuesday morning, featuring options for both adults and kids.

The Fire HD 10 now is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor, has 3GB RAM (50% more than before), brighter 10.1-inch HD display, has a thinner and lighter design, 12 hours of battery life and 32GB and 64GB storage options, with an optional 1TB of expandable storage via microSD.

Amazon says the Fire HD 10 has a new split-screen for side-by-side apps when it comes to multitasking.

The new Fire HD 10 can be pre-ordered today from $199.99 CAD, and ships May 26.

Fire HD 10 Kids Edition

Amazon has also debuted a kids version of the Fire HD 10 for those aged 3 to 7, which includes a kid-proof case in more colour options—and now with a kickstand that doubles as a handle. This version includes a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+ and a two-year worry-free replacement guarantee.

The Fire HD 10 Kids Edition can be pre-ordered for $259.99 CAD and ships May 26.

Fire Kids Pro: Fire 7, Fire HD 8, Fire HD 10

This Fire tablet is geared for kids aged 6 to 12 and comes in three sizes and four colours and prints, plus also includes a one year subscription to Amazon Kids+ and the two-year worry-free warranty.

There’s also a digital store for kids to request app downloads, plus access to an open but filtered web browser. Also available is voice and video calling with approved contacts that have an Echo device or the Alexa app.

These Kids Pro tablets also have a new home screen theme and a ‘For You’ curated section.

You can pre-order the Fire 7 Kids Pro for $129.99, Fire HD 8 Kids Pro at $179.99 and Fire HD 10 Kids Pro at $259.99 (buy 2 save $20).

Fire HD 10 Productivity Bundle

Amazon has also unveiled a new Fire HD 10 productivity bundle which includes a custom-designed detachable keyboard case, plus a 12-month subscription to Microsoft 365 Personal, and can be pre-ordered today for $279.98 CAD.
