Amazon has officially announced 2022 Prime Day dates in Canada and beyond, set to take place on July 12-13. The news may appeal to Prime Day fans since last year’s event was cancelled due to COVID-19.
This 48-hour event will start on July 12 at 3am EDT and runs through July 13 for Prime members in Canada, along with Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, the U.K., the U.S., while Poland and Sweden get their inaugural Prime Day events.
Amazon says later this summer, Prime Day deals events will be held in India, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and in Egypt for the first time.
Amazon Canada says savings will be available on products from Beats, Casper, iRobot, and SharkNinja; fashion styles from Amazon Essentials, Levi’s and Adidas; and deep discounts on select products from Sony, Bose, and more.
In 2022, it marks the 20th birthday of Amazon Canada on June 25.
From June 21 through July 11, customers supporting small businesses can win Amazon.ca eGift cards, for every $1 (excluding taxes and fees) spent on eligible small business products.
Amazon will host a Shop Small for Prime Day at Yonge and Dundas Square in Toronto on the evenings of July 12 and 13. Here, prizes are up for grabs and it will be possible to shop in-person from local businesses selling via QR codes on Amazon.ca.
