Apple music for business

Apple Music for Business has launched in partnership with PlayNetwork, bringing a new music solution for enterprises such as retailers, restaurants and hotels, allowing them to “create their unique brand sound and deepen the connection, affinity and loyalty between their brand and their customers.”

Businesses will get to create their own curated playlists with the Apple Music Business app, allowing scheduling of music and scalability and control. According to both companies, Apple Music for Business is available in 15 countries today, with more to come.

PlayNetwork (an Octave Group company), which has offices in Vancouver and Montreal, will have experts help businesses launch a music strategy to drive customer engagement. Customers will be able to find the songs they hear in-venue on Apple Music via various digital marketing tools, in what is being touted as an industry first.

So far, Apple Music for Business has signed with Harrods, Levi’s, PizzaExpress, Everyman Cinema and Apple’s own retail stores.

Apple Music for Business will be provided by PlayNetwork, with the latter managing “technology development, music curation, licensing, marketing and sales, and owns the direct relationship with the brands,” according to an issued press release.
