Apple Highlights Portrait Mode Images Shot on iPhone XS by Customers

Apple has highlighted some of its favourite Portrait mode images—utilizing Depth Control—taken by iPhone XS customers from around the world, that used the #ShotoniPhone tag across social media:

Photographers from around the world are capturing stunning photographs on iPhone XS using Portrait mode, taking advantage of its new Depth Control feature that makes it possible to adjust the depth of field to create photos with a sophisticated bokeh effect. An update coming soon brings Depth Control to real-time preview, allowing photographers to change the amount of background blur before the shot is taken.

With Depth Control, users can edit photos afterwards to control bokeh–or simply put the background blur–of images taken by iPhone XS. A coming iOS 12.1 update will bring real-time Depth Control when taking images as well.
