Some macOS-specific features, such as True Tone, will not work when connected to PCs. Similarly, the FaceTime camera in the Studio Display will work as a regular webcam with Windows PCs, since the Center Stage feature requires macOS to work.

Some Studio Display features that also require firmware updates will also not function. Moreover, Apple says that screen resolution on the Studio Display will vary from system to system.

Apple unveiled the all-new 2022 Studio Display earlier this week featuring an expansive 27-inch 5K Retina screen, a 12MP Ultra-Wide camera with Center Stage, and a high-fidelity six-speaker sound system with spatial audio.

The new Studio Display also has three USB-C ports that deliver speeds up to 10Gb/s to connect high-speed peripherals, storage, and networking right into the display.

Canadians can order the 2022 Studio Display on Apple.ca and in the Apple Store app starting at CAD $1,999.
