Apple TV+ Offering Free Shows During COVID-19, No Subscription Required [u]

Apple is adding its contribution to those self-isolating and practicing social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Deadline, Apple TV+ is offering up some free originals series and films within the Apple TV app, available to U.S. viewers now, and global customers including Canada on Friday. All the content available will be available to stream without a subscription.

The following shows will be streaming for free:

  • The Elephant Queen
  • Little America
  • Servant
  • For All Mankind
  • Dickinson
  • Helpsters
  • Ghostwriter
  • Snoopy in Space (Canada)

Currently, various Apple TV+ premieres are available for viewing within the Apple TV app in Canada, but you need to sign in with an Apple ID. By tomorrow, we should find out what else is free aside from these first episodes of originals.

The free shows within Apple TV+ can be accessed by visiting this link starting Friday, for those in Canada and beyond. Apple TV+ costs $5.99 CAD per month in Canada and includes a free 7-day trial.
