ProMotion adjusts display frame rates automatically to preserve battery life.

As for cameras, Apple says this is their biggest advancement yet. The new camera gets a 77mm Telephoto on the back, plus new Ultra Wide and Wide camera on the back, for their “largest sensor ever”.

These updates allow more light in photos for less noise and faster shutter speeds. The new 77mm Telephoto allows for classic portraits. The Ultra Wide lens now offers macro photography for taking images up to 2cm away.

All three cameras now support Night Mode, says Apple.

New is a feature called Photographic Styles. This offers real-time styles as you shoot including: rich contrast and vibrant, along with changing tone and warmth. This works across scenes and subject types. These also are available on iPhone 13 as well as Pro models.

Apple says for video features, the new camera system allows for “pro level” video. Two-time Oscar winner Kathryn Bigelow was hired by Apple to test the new iPhone 13 Pro camera system. She said the phones make the new filming process “less apprehensive”. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are now reaching professional film camera quality, is what Apple wants you to know.

“It will change the language of cinema, in a positive way,” said Bigelow.

ProRes video is also coming later this year says Apple for iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. You can now record 30fps in ProRes in 4K, the only smartphone to provide an end-to-end pro workflow.

As for battery life, Apple says iPhone 13 Pro gets you 1.5 hours longer than its predecessor, while iPhone 13 Pro Max lasts 2.5 hours longer than its predecessor.

Apple says there’s no more plastic wrap on boxes, avoiding 600 tons of plastic.

Pricing starts still at $999 USD for iPhone 13 Pro and $1099 USD for iPhone 13 Pro Max.

New is 1TB storage option as well for iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
