Better check your email because the first Apple Watch preorders in Canada have shipped via UPS. Apple has notified some of its first customers, such as iPhoneinCanada reader @ClaudeYJL (Surrey, BC) who received his UPS tracking number for his 42mm Sport model:
Shipping is via UPS Express Saver, which has guaranteed next-day service by noon to “most metropolitan areas.”
If your delivery dates are showing 24/4 – 8/5, we can probably go by Apple’s iPhone 6 launch and conclude those in Zone 1 areas of Canada will likely receive their Apple Watch on Friday, April 24, if history repeats itself.
For those in Zone 2, this page on Apple’s website (active but unlisted?) seems to indicate your “Delivers 24/4 – 28/4” quote could come later.
Earlier this evening Apple emailed customers to emphasize their preorder delivery windows and to note “we’re working on your order” to reassure customers their watches will arrive shortly, with some sooner than expected.
You can also login to your My Support Profile to see if your Apple Watch is listed under My Products, a sign it could be coming soon (or in progress) if it’s there.

Seeing this I’m not too happy. I ordered a stainless with a black plastic strap at 3:02 am and nothing has changed. I’m in Ottawa and I’m seeing people who bought at 5 am and they’re getting their shipping notice. I registered for a Saturday am watch session at the Apple Store. I may have to cancel the class. And I might just cancel my order unless things change. I expect better from Apple considering my spend rate with them.
Altough I had the shipping notice (ordered Friday @3h45 AM), I know how you feel. If I was in your position, I would feel pretty upset about having woke up in the middle of the night to order this product and get bypass by others.

Got my confirmation email for SS with black sport band at 3:02am. I am completely disappointed. Clearly they seem to have low stock for this particular combination. Unless some magical pixie dust changes my status at some point today to shipping I seriously doubt I’ll see it tomorrow. Who knows.. Still processing.. Just got an email saying my item has shipped. Complete with tracking number and everything. Hopefully they are over shooting the delivery date. Says Wednesday but I kinda don’t believe that. We will see. UPS will have the final decision on the tracking number.
Just received the email as well and same delivery date. But that’s Apple estimates, we will get the accurate date once UPS picks up the parcel. We can probably get it on Monday! Finally going to relax after this great news, lol!

It’s showing as shipped today, April 25th. There isn’t any tracking info available from UPS yet, but I’m assuming Monday delivery. When my cable was shipped on Thursday, it delivered next day. I’m pretty sure our watches are at the UPS depot in Concord.
Oh sorry mine shows shipped today was well. Apple’s website is saying delivery by Wednesday. But yes you are right. Apple products always come from concord.

Same here. I’m in Ottawa. Just got off chat with Apple. Not a good experience. Apple chat person told me the orders were being filled on a first come first served basis. Which is not the case. I have a time stamped email showing 3:03. I ponted that out. Then the rep typed – that I’m lucky her shipping date is in June and used the term you are “fashion forward”. This is reflecting poorly on Apple. If i don’t see this Monday I’m cancelling.

its amazing how only a couple minutes makes all the difference on your delivery date. i ordered at 12:05am and got a 24/4-8/5, but no preparing for shipment yet and got a email from apple last night to emphasize i would receive it by the 8th of May. Im just gonna assume I’m not getting it till then, and i will still be getting mine before my friends and family which have June for there delivery dates.
My order says it’s currently in Burlington which is like a 30 minute drive away. I wish they gave us the option to pick it up ourselves.

At around 9:45 am EST, my extra charging cable was delivered.
I chose standard free shipping option when I ordered the Stainless Steel watch with white band. Got the shipping email this morning from Apple and it says that the delivery date will be April 27th. The UPS tracking number shows that the watch is shipped by UPS Express Saver. Anyone else have the delivery date for April 27th? I’m in Calgary BTW.

I find it amazing how upset everyone gets. We’re all excited enough to get up (or stay up) for a 3am EDT pre-order time, but when we don’t have a shipping notice 24 hours out, we lose our minds. “Apple is the worst”, “I’m cancelling”, etc. Calm down. You might still get it tomorrow. Or you might get it next week. How do we go from excited to furious so fast?

What happens if no one is home to receive delivery. Do they keep coming back? Local Apple Store? Mail office? Or ups?
They will leave a slip and try a second attempt the next business day. You can call UPS if you missed your delivery and ask it be redirected to a UPS store for pick up the next time.

yes, very dissapointed. called Apple and UPS and apparently Apple messed up the label info so they couldnt process it. my watches are stuck in Toronto and I am in Vancouver. UPS tracking info says “sender tendered the shipment info to UPS after the latest pickup time”.
