Apple Implements Strict COVID Prevention Rules at Apple Park for WWDC 2022

Apple has just sent out an email to developers who have been invited to the upcoming WWDC 2022 event at Apple Park, informing them of the stricter COVID prevention rules it has implemented for the attendees, MacRumors is reporting.

According to Apple’s updated guidelines, all developers will need to wear N95 masks and a negative FDA-approved COVID antigen test will be required the day before, which attendees will need to upload to Apple’s portal before arriving at ‌Apple Park‌.

There was speculation that the company might cancel the event amid an increasing number of COVID cases in California and other states. However, Apple has instead decided to hold the annual developer event as planned with more stringent protections in place.

 

On its website, Apple says that attendees are required to follow its health and safety protocols, which take into account the latest guidance from public health authorities. Apple has assured developers that hand sanitizer stations will be available and surfaces and high-traffic areas will be cleaned regularly throughout the event.

 

Apple is all set to hold the WWDC 2022 event on June 6, with the opening day keynote starting at 10am PDT/1pm EDT.
