AppleCare+ for 13″ M1 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro Gets Price Drop in Canada

Applecare+ canada

Apple has reduced the price of AppleCare+ for the 13-inch M1 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro in the U.S. and Canada, as spotted by MacRumors.

Users searching for ‘AppleCare+’ in the Apple Store iOS app will now see the label “new lower price” next to AppleCare+ results for these two M1 MacBooks:

Here’s how Apple explains AppleCare+ for Mac:

Every Mac comes with one year of hardware repair coverage through its limited warranty and up to 90 days of complimentary technical support. AppleCare+ for Mac extends your coverage to three years from your AppleCare+ purchase date and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage protection every 12 months, each subject to a service fee of $129 for screen damage or external enclosure damage, or $379 for other damage, plus applicable tax. In addition, you’ll get 24/7 priority access to Apple experts by chat or phone.

In the U.S., the price drop is now $50 US lower than before. In Canada, we’re not quite sure what the original price was for AppleCare+ for both of these M1 laptops (please help us out in the comments), but we’ll take Apple’s word that it is indeed cheaper now than before.
