On the weekend we saw purported images leak of what some claimed were cases for the lower-cost iPhone. Now, Business Insider boldly claims its secondary sources have confirmed to the publication the next iPhone will be called the ‘iPhone 5C’:
After the photos leaked, we heard from a source that the name is going to be “iPhone 5C”.
Our source doesn’t work at Apple, but is connected to someone inside the company who confirmed the name. So, this is second hand, but we feel confident after talking to our source that it’s accurate.
These claims are despite earlier dismissal of the above purported image, as NoWhereElse.fr has examined it closely in Adobe Photoshop to discover questionable modifications to the image, thus deeming it fake.

iLounge, months ago had already been informed the budget iPhone would be called the ‘iPhone 5C’. Looks like now it’s going mainstream. So…is this going to be the year of the iPhone 5C?!
