Epic Games Confirms Upcoming Fix for Fortnite Performance Issues on iOS

Fortnite developer Epic Games has today issued a statement on Reddit, acknowledging the game’s performance issues on iOS while confirming that it is already working on a fix which will be shared in an update “as soon as possible”, MacRumors is reporting. No word on when it will be rolled out has however been given.

Here’s what the developer wrote:

“Hey everyone,

We know that iOS performance is in a rough state, but we want to let you know that we’ve fixed the issues and are working on getting a patch out as soon as possible. We know you’re eager to get started on those High Stakes Challenges and try out the Getaway LTM. We’ll let you know as soon as we have an update for when the patch will go live.”

Fortnite for iOS, which debuted as a beta on iOS in March and then expanded wide in April, lets game console and PC users play the well-known “Battle Royale” mode while on the go.

While Fortnite’s smartphone apps are focused entirely on Fortnite’s PvP Battle Royale mode, the console and desktop versions of the game also include a PvE mode called Save the World.

Reports have also hinted that Epic Games could be working on Fortnite for Apple TV, although the company has denied any plans to do so.
