Google Says Gmail Now Can Receive Attachments Up to 50MB

If you’re a power Gmail user, Google has announced the email service can now accept attachments up to 50MB in size.

The company said yesterday, “sometimes you need to receive large files as direct email attachments,” which is why emails can now be received with up to 50MB worth of attachments, with a roll out slated by the end of week.

For those unaware, Gmail also limits how many emails you receive daily, capped at 60 per minute, 3,600 per hour, and 86,400 per day.

While the limit for attachments received has increased, outgoing send limits remain at 25MB. Google says if you need to send larger files, users can use Google Drive. Other options include Dropbox or any other cloud storage.
