Google has announced its G Suite customers in Canada can now sign up for Google Voice, its cloud-based internet calling service.

The company says Google Voice customers in Canada can now assign numbers with Canada country codes (+1) to its users. An upcoming feature will allow customers to port existing +1 numbers in Canada to Google Voice.

The addition of Canada means Google Voice is now supported in 11 countries (the others are Denmark, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, U.K. and U.S.).

Google says the benefits of Google Voice is that “customers can use it to deploy and manage phone numbers at scale with the intelligence and security of Google Cloud.”

Users will be able to make and receive calls with a work number on any device, anywhere, with Google Voice. The paid service has AI filters to block spam calls, transcribes voicemail and integrates with Hangouts and Calendar.

Pricing for Google Voice starts at $10 US per month, per user, offering free calling to the U.S. and more.
