Here’s Your First Look at Apple’s New Studio Display Internals

While the teardown experts over at iFixit are currently in the process of taking apart Apple’s new Studio Display, an image obtained by MacRumors from Apple’s documentation for technicians has provided us a sneak peek at the display’s internal design.

Looking at the above image, one can see three large boards inside the Studio Display. The left and top-right boards are for power supply, whereas the bottom-right one is the logic board housing components like the A13 Bionic chip and 64GB of flash storage.

The Studio Display is also equipped with two internal fans, one on each side, for keeping the display cool. Out of the six high-fidelity speakers, at least four are visible in the bottom corners of the display, featuring the same design as the ones found in the 24-inch iMac.

The image also shows flex cables for connecting the display panel and the 12-megapixel Ultra-Wide camera system to the Studio Display’s logic board.

We’ll get more details about the Studio Display’s internals once iFixit publishes their teardown.
