Instagram has today announced the expansion of its shopping feature from Feeds to Stories with the introduction of a new sticker with a shopping bag icon. This means that when you see a sticker with a shopping bag icon in an Instagram Story, simply tap on it to see more details about that product just like you do from the Feed.
“Instagram isn’t just a place of inspiration, it’s also a place of action, and we know that inspiration can come from anywhere. Brands have always been early adopters of stories, they create some of the most viewed and engaging content on the platform.
From Adidas and Aritzia to Louis Vuitton, people have been able to shop from their favorite brands around the world, and now you can shop these businesses in Instagram Stories.”
With over 300M Instagram users posting Stories every day, people are increasingly finding new products from their favourite brands.
According to a recent survey, Instagrammers are found to watch stories to stay in-the-know with brands they’re interested in and find out about new products that are relevant to them.
The shopping feature for Instagram Stories is now rolling out to select brands worldwide.
