Allstate has just released the results of its iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro drop tests, offering consumers an independent assessment of devices’ durability and how they live up to the rigors of daily life.
While the tests are traditionally performed using a machine to drop the iPhones onto sidewalks without any protective cases, Allstate has added additional tests for this year’s flagship iPhones i.e. dropping the iPhone 13 in the Apple silicone MagSafe case, and iPhone 13 Pro in the Apple leather MagSafe case.
“The Apple iPhone 13 series has been viewed as a product evolution rather than a revolution, and we’ve found that to be true when it comes to durability as well,” said Jason Siciliano, Allstate vice president of marketing and creative director.
“In our first test of an Apple case with MagSafe, we found that both silicone and leather did a great job of protecting the phones when dropped on their backs, though not as much when dropped face down.”
