‘iPhone 7’ to Ship With Base Storage of 32GB [Report]

According to Kevin Wang, the Director of Market Research at IHS Technology on posting on Weibo, the upcoming ‘iPhone 7’ it will be equipped with 2GB of RAM and minimum internal storage of 32GB (via HDBlog.it). He seems to have made the claim after doing some “supply chain research”, suggesting that the next generation iPhones could mark the end of the 16GB storage models.

The current generation iPhones are already running 2GB of RAM, the iPhone 6s was first, then the iPhone SE confirmed it. However the upgraded storage is great news, since 16GB isn’t nearly enough for a flagship smartphone, especially one that is capable of shooting 4K video.

In the past, there have been rumours that the ‘iPhone 7 Plus’ will top out at 256GB storage, so it will be interesting to see what storage options Apple decides to offer.
