iPhone SE (2020) Out of Warranty Repair Cost: $379 in Canada

If you’ve recently purchased a 2020 iPhone SE from Apple and won’t be purchasing AppleCare+ for an extended warranty and accidental replacements, the company has listed out of warranty replacement costs on its website.
Regardless of your iPhone model, it costs $129 to fix ‘other damage’ when you have AppleCare+, including the 2020 iPhone SE. But to fix ‘other damage’ on your iPhone SE (2020) when you are out of warranty, it will cost $379. This is the same out of warranty repair cost as the first generation iPhone SE at $379.

An iPhone SE (2020) starts at $599 in Canada. AppleCare+ costs $119 for iPhone SE in Canada and is usually worth it if you’re accident-prone or let your kids use your precious smartphone without a case.
As for other changes, Apple increased the out of warranty repair cost for the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S to $379, a $30 increase compared to before. The iPhone 7 out of warranty repair cost did drop $14 down to $405 CAD.
Apple says, “We’ll add a $10.77 shipping fee if we need to ship your iPhone and it isn’t covered under warranty or an AppleCare+ plan.”
Buy a case for your iPhone SE and try not to smash it to bits if you don’t want to pay a pricey out of warranty repair cost for your new iPhone.
