Apple Launches iPhone X Replacement Program for Unresponsive Displays

On a late Friday afternoon leading into Remembrance Day and a holiday Monday, Apple has announced a replacement program for some iPhone X owners experiencing displays that are unresponsive:

Apple has determined that some iPhone X displays may experience touch issues due to a component that might fail on the display module. An affected device may exhibit the following:

  • The display, or part of the display, does not respond or responds intermittently to touch
  • The display reacts even though it was not touched

Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will replace the display module on eligible devices, free of charge.

Canadian iPhone X owners are eligible for this repair program. If your iPhone X is affected by this, contact an Apple Authorized Service Provider, make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store, or contact Apple Support to setup mail-in service via the Apple Repair Center.

Any iPhone X owners out there affected by this touch issue with their display?
