Sunrise is a free cross-platform calendar app for iOS, Android and Mac users—which according to TechCrunch, has been reportedly acquired for $100 million:

We’ve heard Microsoft will keep the Sunrise apps alive as stand-alone products, while using some of the startup’s technology for its own future products.
The word is Microsoft will keep the calendar app alive, but use the technology for its own products, possibly like what we saw when Outlook for iOS debuted—based on the acquisition of startup Acompli.
Microsoft declined to respond to TechCrunch’s request for comment, but if this is indeed true, you can bet other sources such as Re/code will report on it too.
We’ve tested Sunrise before on iOS and it’s a worthy calendar with a beautiful design (but we still love Readdle’s Calendar’s 5 more). Let’s hope the app does stay alive if it has been acquired by Microsoft.

They should of bought out Readdle. Calendar 5 is better.
So far, I like the look and feel of Sunrise over Apple’s own calendar, which doesn’t play well with Google calendar, at least for me.
