Canada’s Alert Ready emergency alerting system is set to launch another wireless test alert, coming up on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Alerts will also be broadcast on TV and radio.
A loud and distinctive tone (known as the scariest sound in peoplekind) will be played on compatible wireless devices connected to LTE networks at the time.

If you’re a shift worker that sleeps during the day, you’ll want to note this day on your calendar. It’s not possible to disable emergency wireless alerts in Canada. You can disable LTE on your device or turn on Airplane Mode if you don’t want to hear the alert.
