Samsung today announced the new Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G today, an update to its original Galaxy Fold, as announced at an event today, sharing more information about the foldable smartphone.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G now has a main display at 7.6-inches, a QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED display with 2208×1768 resolution at 373 ppi.
The cover screen is now a 6.2-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display with 2260×816 resolution at 386 ppi.
Along with faster processors from Qualcomm, RAM remains the same at 12GB as its predecessor, but storage gets cut in half to 256GB, instead of 512GB.
There are three rear 12MP cameras, featuring ultra-wide, wide-angle and telephoto lenses. The interior selfie hole-punch and cover camera are at 10MP.
The new Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G has a 4,500 mAh battery and supports full 5G bands, while the device also supports Ultra Wide Band technology.
Canadians can pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold2 5G today in Mystic Bronze and Mystic Black, starting at a hefty $2,779.99 CAD on Samsung’s website and at Samsung Experience Stores across Canada. Customized Hideaway Hinge options in Metallic Silver, Metallic Gold, Metallic Red and Metallic Blue are also available today.
Bell is the exclusive launch partner of the Galaxy Z Fold2 5G and will debut the phone on September 18.
