Sonos Radio HD launched back in November 2020 in the U.S. and the UK, but is now has expanded to Canada and other countries in Europe. Users can access Sonos Radio HD via the Sonos S2 app.

“Sonos Radio has established itself as a pivotal player in our mission to inspire the world to listen better by combining best-in-class hardware with an incredible content team, whose sole purpose is to create signature Sonos listening experiences,” said Ryan Taylor, General Manager of Sonos Radio, in an interview with iPhone in Canada.

Taylor added, “Building off the success of our recent partnership with the JUNOS and the launch of All Our Sound Radio, the Canadian market is primed for the introduction of Sonos Radio HD and we can’t wait to bring even more curated content to millions of listeners across the country.”

Sonos Radio, according to Taylor, is the third most listened to service on the Sonos platform worldwide, noting listening hours are up 40% year-over-year among a growing audience of 11 million households.

When it comes to traditional broadcast radio, Sonos customers spend nearly 50% of their time listening to the latter.
