The video reveals that some of the middle sections of the gigantic facility have now been fully completed, with expansion continuing both to the north and south of the existing structures.
For those who aren’t aware, Tesla broke ground on the Gigafactory in June 2014 outside Sparks, Nevada, where it expects to begin battery cell production by the end of this year. By 2018, the Gigafactory will reach full capacity and produce more lithium ion batteries annually than were produced worldwide in 2013.
