Google’s Waze announced on Tuesday it has now integrated Apple Music into the navigation app, “so you can keep your eyes on the road while enjoying the ride.”
The integration means once you authorize your Apple Music connection to Waze, you’ll be able to access the iPhone maker’s music streaming service right from the Waze Audio Player, while you navigate.

“We’re thrilled to join forces with Apple Music to bring Apple Music subscribers their tunes while driving with Waze on iPhone,” said Waze in a blog post.

What? Why? Multitask doesn’t work anymore? I play songs with Apple Music, and when Waze need to say something, it pause my music and say then return back. So what is the purpose of having in integrated with Waze?
I guess it’s supposed to make it easier in that you don’t have to switch away from waze and into Apple Music….not sure the single button press saved (if at all) is really a benefit.
