iMovie for iPhone 4 Live in US App Store

If there was one reason to buy the iPhone 4, being able to edit and create movies using iMovie right on the phone is one of them. This gem of an application is a darling to use on a Mac (my dad was able figure it out!) but the latest iPhone interface looks stunning as well.

Since the iPhone 4 launches today in the USA, UK, Germany, France, and Japan, those users will be able to use iMovie immediately. iMovie will not work on the iPhone 3GS due to RAM limitations. For Canadians we will continue waiting patiently–as this will give Apple time to reflect on current issues regarding the iPhone 4 display and dropped signals.

Here’s the iMovie description:

Make beautiful HD movies anywhere with iMovie, the fun, feature-rich video editing app for iPhone 4. Or make a movie of your child’s birthday party and send it to your parents — while the party is in full swing.
