Tesla Debuts Model Y SUV in China Starting at US $52,000
Tesla has just debuted its latest Model Y electric sport-utility vehicle (SUV) in China, featuring a heated steering wheel, HEPA filter for Bioweapon Defense Mode, and more, TeslaNorth is reporting.

Since China is offering hefty subsidies for electric vehicles, prices for Model Y vehicles in the country are much cheaper than the USA. The Long Range Model Y starts at 339,900 yuan (approx. US $52,000), whereas the Performance version costs 369,900 yuan (approx. US $56,600).

The Model Y’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) add-on for Autopilot is priced at 64,000 yuan (approx. US $9,800) in China.
The Model Y in China has also received a different interior compared to the U.S., with wood trim extending to the front driver and passenger doors. Furthermore, a white interior option is not available in China for Model Y.
The Model Y has been previously spotted being tested at Tesla’s Gigafactory in Shanghai, which has recently completed an expansion to produce the SUV.
