Tesla Service Centre in Victoria, B.C., Being Eyed by the Company

Tesla wants to expand its Service Centres in British Columbia beyond its sole location in Vancouver, and add another in the province’s capital city of Victoria, reports Tesla North.

According to Tesla’s President of Automotive, Jerome Guillen, he posted on LinkedIn seeking an expansion of service centres for California, New York and Florida, while also mentioning specifically Victoria, B.C., as shared by James Locke from the Tesla Owners Club Vancouver Island Facebook Group.

“Still looking for additional service center locations in the following areas,” wrote Guillen, detailing a list of potential locations, while lumping in Victoria into the mix”Focus on properties previously used for automotive or zoned for automotive uses. [15,000 square feet] minimum,” added the Tesla executive.

The following service centres are being sought by Tesla in the United States and Canada:

  • Encinitas, CA
  • Queens/Jamaica, NYC
  • South Orlando, Florida
  • Victoria, BC, Canada
  • South Orange County, CA (Mission Viejo to San Clemente)
  • Pasadena, CA
  • Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks, CA

With a Tesla service centre potentially coming soon to Victoria, it would mark the first location servicing Vancouver Island. Normally, major issues unable to be serviced in Victoria from Tesla Rangers or at Ferny’s would require customers to make the trek on B.C. Ferries over to Tesla’s service centre in Vancouver on West 4th Avenue.

Tesla has six service centers in Ontario and two in Quebec. Adding a potential Victoria location would make for service centers total in Canada.
