First Apple Watch OS 1.0.1 Download Released with Improvements

Apple has released it first software update for Apple Watch, iOS version 8.2.1, made available as an over the air update.

How to update your Apple Watch? Launch the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, go to General > Software Update and you should find the install there.

According to the notes, this update includes improvements to Siri, measuring stand activity, calculating calories for indoor cycling and rowing workouts, distance and pace for outdoor walk and run workouts, accessibility and third party apps.

You can download the files as standalone versions below (via IPSW.me), but I don’t know how you’ll install them manually 😉

• Apple Watch 38mm (version 12S632)
• Apple Watch 42mm (version 12S632)

Apple says to install the update, your Watch should be in range of your iPhone, connected to its charger and also have at least 50% charge.
